The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is designed to build on your existing scuba skills, increase your underwater confidence, and broaden your diving experience.
You’ll explore different types of dive environments, develop advanced techniques, and gain practical experience in real-world conditions. Many dive resorts and charter operators require an advanced certification for certain dive sites — making this course a valuable step in your dive journey.
Whether you’re looking to dive deeper, explore shipwrecks, or simply become a more capable and confident diver, this course opens the door to exciting new underwater adventures.
You’ll complete five adventure dives — two are required:
– Deep dive
– Underwater navigation
You can then choose three elective dives based on your interests:
– Wreck diving
– Peak performance buoyancy
– Boat diving
– Underwater photography
– Drift diving
– Search and recovery
– Night diving
– Underwater naturalist
– Fish identification
These dives are conducted from both shore and boat, offering a mix of Cape Town’s stunning dive sites.
